Yeah. That's me. Us, actually. Both of my boys have to be to school by 8:00. Niether of them ride the bus, and one of them I have to drive. So I hope Logan does ok on his bike in the snow later on... Anyway, we have to get up pretty early to get everyone ready to go on time. I struggle through the hog wrestling ritual and get Carter dressed while Logan gets ready upstairs. Except he has ADD, and so I have to remind him of what he's supposed to be doing about once a minute. I generally throw toast or dry cereal at them for breakfast. That way spills are minimal, since I don't have time to clean them up before school. Then I have to nurse Bella Mae, pack lunches, comb everybody's hair, and brush Carter's teeth. THEN, we're off! Like an energizer bunny at super speed, banging those cymbols together madly. Needless to say, some days I don't get to get myself ready until after the morning madness. Take this morning, for instance. I caught a glimpse of myself in the mirror after I got home, and I was laughing so hard, I just had to take a picture.
Does it GET any dorkier than that? I submit that it does not. I promise I normally look a lot better than that. Just not in the morning. *sigh* Oh, what Carter's teachers must think of me.....
I do say, It doesn't matter what they think of how you look, the important thing is, you're there for your kids. You put them first. Your job, your life is all about your family. That's more commendable and admirable. You have a lot to deal with now, having three kids that aren't all the easiest to take care of...
ReplyDeleteI'm sure I'll get my turn of going through all that craziness (just give me a few more years).
Thanks, Melanie! And I don't think you'll have to wait that long! You'll be surprised how much a brand new baby can demand of you! The wonderful thing is, you don't mind! You don't mind at all...
