My Beautiful Peeps

Can I just tell you how awesome my family is? I just got back from a meeting they arranged to tell me all about an idea they came up with. They're starting an etsy shop by the same name as the blog, "Carter's Puzzle". They're making several different crafts and products, and whatever profits are made on this site are to be used for Carter's education and special needs expenses. See, Carter's preschool costs us $130 a month, (which we don't have), and he's needed a special car seat for quite some time that costs somewhere in the neighborhood of $700. (Which we don't and will probably never have, at this rate.) Then there's always the doctors and therapists appointments which aren't covered by our insurance, and the possibility that he will need to continue to go to specialized schools, which is going to cost a small fortune which again, we don't have.  So you can imagine how excited I was about this idea! They presented several prototypes to us. T-shirts, silicone wristbands, jewelry, crayons, leather cuffs, picnic blankets and lip gloss just to name a few. All dedicated to raising autism awareness. These products are COOL, and I can't help but reflect on how much good we'll be doing, not just for Carter and our finances, but for raising awareness! That's our whole purpose here! To help out the autism community and help others know what it's like and what we're about. We've decided that if, by some small chance, we make an extra profit, more than what Carter needs, those proceeds will be donated to any number of our local autism organizations. We'll let you know which organization we choose should the need arise.  Anyway, here's a shout out to my fam! My beautiful peeps! How can we fail when supported by people like these?
